ABOUT SAN DIEGO SURFERS RUGBY

THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF WOMEN'S RUGBY IN SAN DIEGO

The San Diego Surfers Rugby Club, established in 1975, has been a cornerstone of women’s rugby in San Diego. Originally known as OMBUSH and the Rio Grande Surfers, the club became a non-profit and became the San Diego Surfers in 1997.

Competing year-round, the Surfers field teams for Touring, D1, and 7s, along with close partnerhsips to MLR's San Diego Legion 10s and the San Diego Touch team. The club has produced over 40 athletes who have represented USA on Olympic, professional, and international stages and boasts 10 national titles across WPL, D1, and 7s.
